World Series boosted city tax revenues
Be thankful for the Phillies. In an otherwise dismal report on city tax collections, the 2008 World Series champs brought the only bit of good news.
World Series champions the Philadelphia Phillies agreed to a one-year $2.5 million deal with veteran South Korean pitcher Park Chan-ho, the Major League club said Tuesday.
The Buffalo Bisons announced today that former New York Mets All-Star and World Series Champion Ed Kranepool and New York Mets Director of Minor League Operations Adam Wogan will both speak at the team's Hot Stove Luncheon, Friday, January 16 at the Adam's Mark Hotel.
